I've been with them for a few years, here is my advice: For dedicated servers, they rock. If you want a shared hosting plan, no matter what size, make sure you don't run database reliant sites (e.g. wordpress) with them, since the shared sql database servers are extremely slow and down several times a month. It was better in earlier days, but since most platforms nowadays rely on databases, it looks like they missed this new trend. So, a great host, but some of the shittiest shared sql servers I've seen...and I have accounts with over 15 hosts.

EasyCGI, I could not reach my website, numerous times, I even sent a traceroute to their IT support and they escalated the issue to their tier 2 support, and to no avail, they said the problem must be on my side. Even though it would timeout once it passed their demarc point which is inside their buiding. It would be up for 2 hours then down 4 hours, then it would be back up, I did not change any code. I was using their Microsoft servers not their Unix servers. Numerous times, I could not get into the control panel. Also, had problems when I added a second domain to the account, they started billing me multiple problems, but they did give me a credit each time it happened. In 2010, it got worse, I have switched to Lunar Pages, and my website had been up and running with no problem and their tier 1 support is excellent.

I love webfaction. Although it is a little expensive and they don't offer domain names, their hosting just works. I you want to change something then you just use the ssh or ftp. Not as good as slicehost (more expensive) but still great. I use it for plone. I also like Shared 2. Godaddy is the WORST I have used.

We have dedicated servers with inmotion hosting as a web design and development company and thus so far we have had a few issues with support but that is to be expected in any technologic arena. They are fairly supportive and promte but any one using a hosting company should keep in mind this is what they do best. Do not expect them to configure websites or files for you or upload software to support your websites even if it may be a server software, this is your responsibility.

Even though everything has not be perfect with inmotion hosting, needless to say things do happen and this is something we should all keep in mind. We have leased servers from other companies and I can truly say my experience with Inmotion Hosting has been far better then my past experiences.

Cheers

JustHost.Com is good if not the Best. If one has low to moderate traffic on their website -- then JustHost.Com is an ideal Hosting Co.

Don't touch Jumpstart Hosting.
I have always found it difficult to reach support on their site - it is poorly set-up to access.
I wanted to cancel my subscription renewal last week, and emailed jumplaunch about this. I am so angry with them - they immediately terminated my account, although I had clearly another 2 months to run on my contract.

When I emailed to complain, I received a snide reply.
I have never ever encountered such RUDE customer service.

Don't touch them - they are obviously a second-class hosting service.

www.conservative-outlooks.com

My site has been up and down all day. Midphase. Have been good until now. Was down one day last week too. Offer 24/7 support but if they are down is no good. Am thinking of going somewhere else.

Right now is down. And they keep giving me canned excuses.
