Did NameCheap experiences and stories like below or made you think twice to signup with NameCheap?
- “So I tried to register a domain on Namecheap, my preferred registrar whom I’ve been a very loyal customer to. The domain had the word Google in it. When I went to check out I received a message – Banned domains removed from cart. Wut?…”
- “…I just talked with NameCheap live support and here’s what they told me:
we are having a technical issue with forwarding at the moment…”- “Namecheap sucks. Most of my domains regged there are blocked now because of one of their anti spam companies…“
If you go through each of Googles result pages, it seems there a few unsatisfied customers and clients who have been through some sticky situation with NameCheap. If you search for the keywords “NameCheap sucks”, you see that there are hundreds of search engine result pages (SERPs) by Google. Is that a lot of bad things said about one hosting? Assuming all those result pages really talk about why this hosting provider sucked in some ways. There may be a few more result pages when you search for “NameCheap scam”, “NameCheap issues“, or ”NameCheap problems“. Would these hate or complaint sites worry you after you have read so many positive reviews? Did the hate pages make you wonder if NameCheap hosting is any good?

Reconsider. Do not dismiss the fact that NameCheap is one of the more popular web hosting companies and have one of the web domain registration service in the market today. You have read the other NameCheap reviews elsewhere. NameCheap does what a hosting company and domain registrars should do. That is, NameCheap actually answers their phones, replies to their emails, responds to live chat requests, doesn’t rip you off, and provides quality hosting. So among the millions of satisfied clients, surely they will be a few who disagree. Let us look at the numbers above.
From the above number, only 3 out of every 10,000 SERP pages about NameCheap said that this company sucks. This is still extremely good considering other web hosts or web domain registration services we have looked at have much worst ratio. The hate pages is actually negligible and those negative reviews is just not significant enough to be reliable.
We know, finding a good web hosting can be tiring and time consuming, when you should be building your blog or selling your product.
So our verdict: Hostingsthatsuck.com Recommends NameCheap

Disclaimer: This recommendation and numbers mentioned above is not specific to NameCheap’s web hosting service or to Namecheap as the bulk domain registration company. If most of the complaints are about them as the web domain registration provider, they could in fact still be the best cheap web hosting provider out there.
One thing you might mention: People who are satisfied with a hosting company and/or registrar are really to busy doing their thing. It’s not something you’re apt to think about. If you run into a bad experience, you may shout it to the skies, so that also affects the proportions even further.
In any case, I’ve ordered a number of services from Namecheap in recent months. They were always professional in handling the transactions and providing support. What more can you ask?
Peace,
Gene
I have been with NameCheap for about 4 years, have 4 domains with them, they are great as far as my experience with them, no issues, no problems at all. Would recommend to anyone to use them.
I had really bad experience with Namecheap. I do not recommed using namecheap.
1. They have questionable billing practices. They charged me twice for the same domain transfer. And when I asked for a refund, they asked for a fee.
2. Their technical support is pretty inadequate. On a DNS management query, they removed nameservers without notification causing significant decline to traffic. When asked to speak to website owner, they said he is travelling. I have not heard from namecheap apparently the owner is still travelling after two months. I notified BBB, they did not respond to them as well.
3. The cost is comparable to other service providers.
Bottomline, given their questionable billing practices, inadequate customer support, I think they are poor value for money.
I have since switched to another provider after using namecheap for two months.

Namecheap hosting is substandard at best and has been getting progressively worse as time passes. I’ve been a registrar customer of theirs for many years and have only a few complaints (such as their redirector services often don’t work correctly), however the hosting is another matter entirely. Recently they have been down more often then any other hosting company I’ve EVER used and fortunately, I pay monthly so once this month expires, I will be moving EVERYTHING to Hostgator. They are obviously outsourcing or reselling someone else’s hosting and they have little to NO control over the uptime. The service is TERRIBLE, they have cost me money by being down for long lengths of time and they provide NO warning about maintenance or downtime. They have lost my business for sure.
