I'm feeling very uneasy about this. I just completed transferring my domain hosting, web page and email accounts to Webhostingpad. Evidently I didn't read the fine print well enough and discovered after the transfer that email spam filtering was an additional cost, only $1 a month but unexpected. That's my fault for not paying attention. I let Brent S know this in my chat support session.

I purhased the Advanced Spam filtering product expecting to see it added to my cpanel. After an hour or so I tried to open another chat support but could not so I called their tech support line. They said they would go ahead and activate the spam filter. After another 30 minutes I went to bed.

When I got up this morning the spam filter is still not in my cpanel. I went to their home page only to discover that there is no longer a link to open a chat support session. I called their support line and got routed directly to voice mail saying all techs were busy. Any call I made before I was placed on hold until a tech answered.

Thinking the chat link not being there was a bit unusual I opened a remote session to a PC having a different IP address and went to their website. Sure enough, the chat link was there. I opened a chat session and Brent S was online. I asked him when I should expect to see the spam filter show up and he said as soon as I purchased it. I also asked him if chat was always available and he said yes. I did not give him my domain name because I don't want that IP to be blocked and rerouted also.

I admit it's early in the morning and their support may be just a skeleton crew (and I've only had my first cup of coffee) but this certain has the appearance of being bad idea. My question is how quickly do I need to move my domain again to keep from losing web traffic and alienating my users?

I don't think that is such as great idea. Although Webhostingpad may be more lenient in terms of suspending accounts, you should not be using their service to store non-related files or even sharing the files around. We have heard stories about many other hosting companies suspending accounts because the users put backup and archive files on their 'unlimited' server space. Well, why say unlimited if you cannot use them you ask? They can promise the moon when we signup but better-not-argue and not-take-the-risk is our approach to this issue.

Let us also be fair to the others on your shared hosting server and I would strongly suggest you use ElephantDrive if you need Unlimited space for storing and sharing other work files.

I work as the webmaster of my company. Since Webhostingpad is giving unlimited disc space with their plan, I am thinking of using this extra space to store and share some office files with my colleagues. Would this be good idea you think?

I agree. When I looked into hosting companies I saw a lot of negative reviews for Webhostingpad but a lot of positive ones too. The thing is, this is true of all hosting companies, not just Webhostingpad, you have customers who love it and customers who hate it. I decided to go with Webhostingpad and personally I love it. Their support speaks perfect English and are smart and prompt. And if someone doesn't like it, it's like you said, there's a money back guarantee so there's really nothing to lose.
